You can receive text messages about your account — payment reminders and similar. It is optional.

Signing up

Text START to 76032.
By texting START, you agree to receive text messages from Universal Account Servicing, LLC regarding your account, such as payment reminders, at the phone number used. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency will vary. To opt out at any time, reply STOP, or HELP for more information.
You can also opt in inside uPortal360: under Contact Info, select Edit beside Phone Numbers and check Opt-In SMS against your cell number.

Stopping them

Reply STOP to any message. That is the fastest way, and it works immediately. STOP, END, CANCEL, QUIT and UNSUBSCRIBE all work. You will get one confirmation that the messages have stopped, and nothing after that. To start again later, reply START or UNSTOP. You can also clear the Opt-In SMS box in uPortal360, or tell us. Reply HELP or INFO to any message for our phone number and a link to sign in.
If you want to cancel your purchase, texting CANCEL is not enough. Those words stop the text messages, and we will always honor that. They do not cancel your agreement, your AutoPay, or what you owe.If cancelling the purchase is what you meant, call us or open a support request as well — otherwise you have switched off the channel we would have used to reach you.

What it costs

We do not charge for text messages. Your mobile provider may — standard message and data rates apply, depending on your plan.

When they arrive, and how often

Texts go out on business days between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM in your own time zone. Never overnight and never on a weekend. Message frequency varies. Texts are tied to activity on your account rather than sent on a schedule, so a month with nothing happening is a month with no texts.

What we text you about

Every message is about your account and tells you how to opt out, and messages identify us rather than arriving from an unexplained number. We do not send marketing or offers on this channel.

What you are agreeing to

A mobile number is not a condition of your credit. You are not required to provide one, and opting out of texts does not affect your account.
Providing a mobile number authorizes us to contact you about servicing and collecting on your account — including by text, automated dialing, and prerecorded message — but not to market to you. You can withdraw that consent at any time. Stopping texts does not stop other channels. If you also want to change email or calls, see How and when we contact you. Your Privacy Policy covers how we use the contact details you give us, and your E-SIGN consent covers electronic communications generally — see Terms, Privacy and E-SIGN.
