Open AutoPay

Sign in, open the menu and select Autopay, then Update.
2

Change the method, the amount, or both

Choose a different saved payment method, or add a new one. Then choose Minimum Payment or enter an Override Amount.
3

Sign and submit

Any change re-signs the authorization, so you will be asked to sign again.

Choosing your amount

Minimum Payment takes whatever your minimum is that month. If your minimum changes — because a charge was added, or a promotional period ended — AutoPay follows it. Override Amount takes a fixed figure you set.
An override must be more than your minimum monthly payment. You cannot use AutoPay to pay less than your minimum. If you set an override below it, the account would still be short and you would be past due.
An override is the usual way to clear a promotional balance before it expires, and extra payments go to promotional balances first — see How your payments are applied.

Switching payment method

Select a different saved method during Update. The AUTO PAY badge on your Payment Methods page moves with it.
To delete the old method, change AutoPay first. A payment method that AutoPay is using cannot be deleted — you will get an error until AutoPay points somewhere else, or you opt out.

When it takes effect

A change made well before your next scheduled date applies to that payment. A change made close to it may not.
A payment already in process cannot be changed. If your next payment is within three business days, treat it as fixed. Change your AutoPay for the month after, and if you need that specific payment stopped, call us — see Opting out of AutoPay.

If your card was replaced

You may not need to change anything — see Automatic card updates.
