Timing matters more than the steps. Opting out stops future payments — it does not automatically stop one already scheduled.To stop a scheduled payment, give us notice at least three business days before its date. Same-day and in-process payments cannot be stopped.

Open AutoPay

In uPortal360, select Autopay in the menu. Sign in first if you are not already in.

Select Opt-Out

That is it. Automatic payments stop from that point.
You can also withdraw your authorization by calling us, by email, or in writing to the address on your AutoPay authorization. The portal and the phone are faster, and if a payment is close, speed is the thing that matters.
However you say it, it counts. You do not have to use the word “revoke”, you do not have to put it in writing, and you do not have to reach a particular department. Telling us to stop taking the payment is effective the moment we receive it, in whatever channel you used.Once you have withdrawn it, we will not take that payment — and we will not retry a payment of yours that was already returned.

Stopping it through your bank

You can also tell your own bank to stop an automatic payment. Contact them at least three business days before the scheduled date. Doing it this way is your right, and we do not treat it as anything other than what it is. If we learn your bank has stopped a payment, we stop originating against that method until you tell us otherwise.
Tell us as well as your bank. A bank stop payment blocks the debit; it does not cancel your AutoPay authorization with us, and it does not pay what you owe. Opting out in the portal does both halves of the job.

Your payments do not stop

Opting out ends the automatic payment, not the obligation. You still owe your monthly payment, and you will need to pay another way from that point.
If the reason you are opting out is the amount rather than AutoPay itself, you may not need to opt out at all — change your AutoPay amount or method instead.

If you are opting out to delete a payment method

That is the right order. A payment method AutoPay is using cannot be deleted, so opt out first, then remove it — see Managing your saved payment methods. If you only want to stop using that particular card, switching AutoPay to a different method is simpler than opting out.

If you have a promotional offer

A missed payment can end a promotional offer early, and the interest that has built up is then owed.
